Seven years of pointless dedication
This is the guest of honour, from the beginning. Every stage took longer than the one before it, and none of them were necessary.
It cannot walk, speak, or acknowledge you. It is still the most formally dressed thing in the house.

The Dress
Black tie, worn with total commitment.
The trees have been in training for seven years. The least we can do is put on a jacket.
The Refreshments
Dinner, dessert and a proper bar.
Bring a bottle if you like. Do not bring fertiliser. We have been very clear about this.
The Guest of Honour
Bentley, in black tie.
He will be the only attendee who has not been pruned, and he intends to make that everyone's problem.
